Commissioned Price List
Commissions are accepted for any subject matter, subject to my approval. My preferred medium is oil paint. The smaller works are usually painted on Hard Board while the larger or more impressionistic pieces are painted on canvas. I also am able use wrap around canvas which eliminates the need for an expensive frame if you choose. The prices below are for unframed works with a single subject. The second subject or a full detailed background is one half again as much. For three subjects double the price for each size listed. State taxes and shipping and handling fees will be added where applicable. A non-refundable 50% deposit, and a signed and dated contract is required before the painting begins. Full payment is due upon receiving the art. Copyright of all art I create remains with Beverly S. Abbott unless a written signed and dated agreement is written by me granting the transfer of the copyright.
I require clear sharp photographs preferably on a CD (if possible). I like to have as many different views of a subject as possible, as I often have to make a composite drawing to enhance the qualities or pose of the subject. If a painting is needed for a special occasion, I must have sufficient time to work the piece into my schedule. My usual manner of working is to make an outline cartoon of the subject and e-mail the sketch to you for approval before beginning the painting.
